This general history looks at the time before European settlement, the effect of the railways on this mountain town, the village of Brasfort, later development closer to the railway line and the role the TB sanatoria played in the town’s history. It also looks briefly at the Burragorang valley.

The original 1996 text has been digitised and reprinted including the references thus providing clear text, and better quality photographs. In addition there is a Foreword and very useful index.
