A history of horse riding in the Blue Mountains NSW and the families who were involved.

Covering the years from the late 1800s to 1980s, this 100 year period shows insight into local history and how the use of the horse changed over the years. Focusing on the towns of Katoomba, Medlow Bath and Blackheath, there also is a journey to Sydney's North Shore - Killara and Turramurra - where one family highlighted in the book conducted horse riding from the 1930s to the 1960s, simultaneously in these location as and the Blue Mountains. Included is documentation of oral histories from people who lived and worked or rode horses in the Blue Mountains and at Killara/Turramurra. Some have since passed away.

Along the Bridle Track has recorded valuable social history into print along with a collection of photographs, some from private collections.
